Rev. Peter D. Surgenor, CCD

      Executive Director

          The Rev. Peter Surgenor, Certified Camp Director (CCD),  has been a professional camp director since 1976.  He came to the Presbyterian Center at Holmes in 2000 after directing Camp Crestfield in Slippery Rock, PA., operated by Pittsburgh Presbytery.  He is a graduate of Hamilton College and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.  He has studied further at Slippery Rock University and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.  Rev. Surgenor is President of the American Camp Association and continues to chair the National Education Committee for that organization, he is also a standards visitor for ACA.  He is currently a member of the Board of the New York Section of ACA, one of the sections which hosts the Tri Sate Camping Conference (the largest annual gathering of camp staff and supporters).  He is a past President of the Presbyterian Church Camp and Conference Association (PCCCA) which is the professional association of camp directors, staff and volunteers in the Presbyterian Church (USA).  Peter provides a variety of staff resources to Long Island, New York City and Hudson River Presbytery.

Robin Garzoni

          Robin is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Kutztown University with a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Math and Dance.  Robin grew up in camping at the Johnsonburg Presbyterian Camp in New Jersey.  She worked at YMCA Camp Greenville in South Carolina and Massanetta Springs in Harrisonburg, Va.  Robin comes to us excited about our summer camping program, ready to improve staff recruitment and to train the staff for a wonderful summer.  Robin is a member of the American Camp Association and the Presbyterian Church Camp and Conference Associaiton. She is also charged with development of two or more multi Presbytery youth retreats between September and May.  You will enjoy meeting Robin and having the chance to share faith stories and maybe even to learn a dance step or two!
